StarStitch

StarStitch was a project for my GDVI class, during the Fall, 2024 semester. The assignment was to use Figma in order to design a semi-functional app. The planning process included analyzing potential competing apps, recognizing the target audience, designing a persona sheet that reflects the target audience, and creating a “design challenge” based around the information. I decided to base my app around crochet, since it is an interest of mine and competing apps were lacking many useful aspects for a crocheting app.
     The design specifications were to create the app for the iPhone 13/14 and Apple Watch. Overall, I created just over 150 interactive frames. All 2D elements are either designed in Figma or drawn in Procreate and the majority of photos are from big retailers that sell yarn or patterns.
