Calendar Project

This project was designed to be a fun final project for GDIV, where we had to create an interesting and unique calendar. I designed my calendar in Illustrator and cut out acrylic pieces using Glowforge in a variety of colors. I designed my calendar to be visually interesting, yet functional for any month, any year. I knew from the start I wanted to incorporate two specific creative ideas in my design. The first idea being to make something that appeared to recede into itself by layering acrylic on top of each other to create depth. Second I wanted to incorporate another material, specifically glass beads I had made, that could be inserted into the acrylic, representing days completed similar to an advent calendar.
