Slime & Berry

This school project was an exciting challenge because we were given many specifications, but at the same time, a lot of free reign. Our task was to create a food based brand and then design the related packaging. We were given a random set of words that we had to incorporate in our design. My assigned words were: music; strawberries; frugal; busy; asian owned; women; organic; and toxic. At first it was a bit of a struggle to create a design around “organic” and “toxic.” Ultimately I overcame this challenge by making a design in the same vein of the brand Liquid Death, where the marketing was a bit deceiving towards what the actual product was–but cuter.
  The packaging itself was also a challenge. We were randomly given different packaging styles, and mine was curved packaging. I met this requirement by building a package design that wrapped around and latched onto the necks of the bottles to hold them in place. This project was designed using a mixture of Illustrator and Procreate and printed on cardstock for assembly.
