Pictograms

This GDI project was to design pictograms for each school within the School of Art and Art History at the University of Iowa. This project was entirely built within Illustrator. The challenge was to be able to refine each school down to its core elements while keeping a cohesive theme with the rest of the pictograms.  
     One aspect of this assignment that was useful and resonated with me was how the professor wanted multiple different sketches for each pictogram. He instilled the idea that even if your first idea does end up being the one you go with, you should always sketch many more just in case you end up with something better.
